How can I change my profile name?

You may only change your profile name a limited number of times every 14 days.

Note: Please refrain from using your real name or any other personal information for your safety.

To update your profile name:

If Using the App

1.  Within the MapleStory Worlds application, navigate to the sidebar and locate the "More" option with three dots as seen below.
   
2. This will display several more options on the main page. Choose the "Profile Settings" option here.
   
3. At the top of the screen will be your display profile name. You may edit your name as long as it is between 2 and 16 characters.
   
   • Note: Please refrain from using any names that are in violation of Community Guidelines, Terms of Service and End User License Agreement. Any violations found may result in the name to be changed arbitrarily by Nexon.
   

If Using the Browser App:

1. Within the Web app of MapleStory Worlds, navigate to your profile name, located in the top right corner beside the World Coin counter.
   
2. Navigate to "Profile" when a dropdown menu appears after having clicked on your Profile Name.
   
3. A page displaying your character will appear on the screen. Locate your character profile picture and name, then click the icon beside the name to edit.
   
4. You may now enter a new profile name.
   

You have now successfully updated your profile name.
